Driftwood has a very active bunch of children. We do a VBS program each year and the children are often involved in community activities like the Ft. Vallonia Days parade. On the first Sunday of the month there is a children's devotional given during the worship service and the kids stay with their families until we dismiss for Sunday School. On the other Sundays we dismiss the children, Kindergarten-5th grade, to their own Children's Church activities. Children's church includes Biblical lessons tailored for the children's age and often has games, coloring activities and sometimes crafts. Our gallery includes pictures of the VBS program and a few other children's events.
Our Wednesday night program has the biggest turnout for our youth. The lessons on Wed. night are usually topical and cover issues our teens face on a daily basis at home and in school. On Sunday mornings they typically have a Bible study or do a series on parables, miracles, or different people in the Bible. They also get to participate in a number of extra activities like all-night youth lock-ins, camp-outs, laser-tag, mission trips, youth conventions, and service projects. We've really got a good bunch of kids at Driftwood Christian Church.
Driftwood also has a very active Missions Team that helps both around the globe and locally. In 2014 they went on trips to help our at a Pregnancy Care center, assist another church with their VBS, do repairs and upkeep at a Christian College, and serve students working on their degrees in ministry over in Austria! This is all done in addition to the numerous ministries and missionaries that Driftwood supports financially each year. The people here really try and make a difference in the world for the Kingdom of God.
Driftwood has a number of small groups that meet on a bi-weekly basis. Most groups meet at their leader's home, and each group is different and studies different topics. Some groups even have a meal together while others typically have a snack along with their lesson. If you are interested in joining a group but don't know where to get started, feel free to contact the office.

Eli's Closet is a ministry that helps those in need by providing clothing and other items for people who have recently suffered some form of traumatic loss such as a house-fire. Many of the clothing items given out by Eli's Closet also go to newborns and preemies. There are a lot of photos of the things regularly given out by Eli's Closet in the Gallery.
